Milk works for me! I don't trust anything else. I worry about side effects.

Just remember to be careful drinking milk with heartburn. Your stomach can actually produce more acid to get rid of the coating the milk leaves in your stomach. Try tums and cold water that works for me!

My doctor told me to fill a glass with water and put a little baking soda mixed in and drink it. It took my heartburn and acid reflux away instantly.

You could try Zantac or see if you can go to a clinic or get your doctor to fax a prescription for ranitadine as well. Those were the only things that helped me other than ginger ale ! Hope you feel better
