already moms, quick question!

Is it ok to bottle feed your 3 day old baby? My son hasn't pooped all day, he has peed but not pooped. I'm worried he isn't eating enough. He 41/2 hrs without eating mind you i was trying to wake him which he wouldn't budge.. When he is awake he latches on for 10 min sometimes more and sometimes less. I was just messing with the pump just to produce more and looked down to realize a full bottle.. So could i try this and do you think he'll poop? Or any other suggestions? I'm open to anything!

Its breast milk and, that was my concern because he should be pooping and he's not.. I'm hoping by doing it through the bottle he'll poop, or it'll make a difference..

It's perfectly fine to bottle feed. My son alternated between bottle and breast from 4 days old. Some people worry because they say baby will get confused and not latch well, but I haven't known anyone personally who had that issue.

Well your baby should definitely be eating every 2 and a half to 3 hours even if you have to make em' wake up, he should be eating. And if your nursing or bottle feeding breast milk the baby should actually poop multiple times a day now if its formula it takes longer to get through the baby system ...but he should be pooping.
