Late by 4 days

My wife is late in her periods by 4 days, she keeps insisting that we get her tested for pregnancy, but my mom and her mom ask us to wait for another 10 days before taking the test, what do you people suggest. Should we think about possible pregnancy yet or not?

Yea we've tested 4 days after her missed period and it came out negative, only one big fat red line

Thanks joy, we're hopeful, we are waiting and hoping for the best, my wife's periods have always been regular she says, this is the first time she's ever been late

My first pregnancy test said negative then i waited a week and took another one and that one said positive .sometimes its to early to tell

We tested with a home test kit and it came out negative, we don't have many brands here for the home test kit, the one we used is called ACCURATE. So it may be advisable for us to wait now.

She can test now. I tested 5 days before my period was due because i just didn't feel right and i got a very clear positive. Good luck and best wishes.

Yea it is long enough. I got a positive pregnancy test a few days before my missed period. If she test and comes up negitive I would have her test a few days later or ask the doctor to do a blood test. Hope this helps

Yeah she is late by 4 days already, is 4 days long enough to be suspicious?

If she is already late then there is a good chance that a pregnancy will show up on an over the counter test. Things were maybe different when your parents were younger which is why they may be suggesting to wait longer. I would test now.
