angry boss

So my boss is mad because I didn't tell him I was pregnant until a couple weeks ago because I work with my sister and rumors spread like a crazy at work and I wanted to tell my sister before anyone at my work did. but he's angry with me because I didn't tell him sooner and he has cut my hours back now. is he allowed to do that?

That's wrong if its not necessary due to heavy lifting or hard labor then it is at your dicretion when you tell your work especially if you have family working there as well making it even more your right to decide when people find out.  And him cutting your hours just cause he is upset with you is very wrong!!!  If you could find a comparable job I would get a new one.  What an A S S!

I agree with both comments above me...just give him some time, he will get over it

I'm a manager at a restaurant and sadly he's allowed to. Unless your under contract. But show him you want the work and can handle it. I always give the hours to the people who deserve them. Good luck.

How vile of him! It depends on the hours that your contract states, if you're contracted to 30hrs a week for example and he's cut your hours to below that then he's absolutely not allowed to do that. But if you've been working more hours than your contract states and he's cut them down to your minimum contract hours then im afraid that's legal! He's still a nob though.

Do u do rough labor at work?
The only way he can is if you're doctor tells u to go on light duty, or if ur boss thinks you're better off working less like I said depending on what you do at work
