Breath! I gotta say i went till 5cm dilated before i took the epi (i was allowed though) i was dilating too slowly 1cm after 5hours. But if i would of dilated faster i would of been fine without the epidural. I made sure to breath deeply threw each contractions. Count till three for breathing in and count till four for breathing out. Breath the air in threw your nose and push it out slowly threw ur mouth. Its best to practise a little before going into labour. Thats how i knew i wasnt able to hold my breath and push for 10seconds lol helped a lot when it came to pushing, the nurses went with what i was able to do. Take a warm shower if u can, and aim it at ur belly, it gelps when the contractions are painful. If you can try not to lay in bed, they are more painful if ur laying. Get a birthing ball, didnt help me but could help you. I got my hubby to pull me forward while holding my hands and i rocked on the bed with every contractions. Abd keep in mind that with every contractions ur one step closer to seeing ur baby. I also had the laughing gas, it takes the edge of the contractions but be careful! Makes u dizzy so make sure ur sitting down or someone has a hold on you
I'm sure everyone feels like that hon. I'm on my third and I'm only 14w and stressing about it already lol. Good luck to you mama! :)
I know how you feel! I was 4cm dilated at 34 weeks. They stopped labor though. I'm now 36 weeks and Stoll 4 :( my doctor even thought I was going to have him by now but I'm scheduled for an induction on the 25th. Waiting just *****
You can do it! Dont stress. Best thing ive heard is to calmly breathe through each contraction. Dont fight it. Let each one come and ride it like a wave.
I have low blood platelets and if I was to get the epidural I could have bleeding to my spine so dr told me the epidural is not a option for me and if I was to need a csection they will put me to sleep completely
Y cant u have an epudural
