Hey mamas, im moving back to Florida but I live in Mississippi at the moment, do you any of you know how medicaid there works ? Will it cover my baby after she is born ?

Florida has veryyyyy good medicaid. My 1st two were born in fl. Now I'm in nj 14 weeks and STILL cant get medicaid. Im getting annoyed! My my kids had their medicaid for yrs down there.

United Heath care I go to the one crap I don't remember the road but its not far by Halifax hospital in Daytona I need united heath care for them yo take me I get it may 1st

Actually i just went to the health department in my town in florida and did my pregnancg test and met with a lady that day and my medicaid was approved that same day. She jut printed me a piece of paper out with my mediciad number on it to show people until i got my card but for other benefits like foodstanps i had to go online but didnt go through the access website for my mediciad so maybe if you do it like i did and just go straight to the health department you will get it like i did and get it that same day, it works a lot faster for pregnant women

Yea i live in florida, i think it.also still covers us under the pregnancy medicaid for so many months. I know in ga it did when i lived there and was pregnant w my first. But when you sign up here they will give you all those details im sure, what part of florida arw you moving to if you dont mind me asking?

U can get pregnancy medicaid also & baby is covered on newborn medicaid for a yr, then for ever long u need it. My 2yr old is still on neadicaid.

Yes. Go to accessflorida.com & set up an account,  u can file for foodstamps & all on the site, then a rep will call u. Just keep checking your access account for emails in case they need more information.  What part of mississippi, I have fam in Gulfport, where I got preggers with #3 lol  I lI've in jacksonville, fl
