Just curious, I got my 1st GD test done about a week ago and I was told they would call if my tests came back positive. How long did it take yalls doctor to call you back with the results?

I failed my first test too. I think it had to do with what I ate the morning of my test. I had to then go through a 3 hour glucose screening test. So don't freak out right away.

I have it. You will have to monitor your carb intake. Odds are that you will meet with a nutritionist who will help with teaching you how to manage it. You will test your blood 4xs a day and go for non stress tests and more ultrasounds then normal. You will only have to deliver early if your blood sugars are out of control. I'm 38 weeks and well managed. Try NOT to Google much. Let your doctor guide you. Google will just scare the crap out of you. Everything will be OK this is so very common.

Why are all the first letters of your words capitalized? It's hard to read that way.

And as far as GD. My midwife said it can be controlled with dietary changes.  Depending on how far along you are, you can probably still control it.  Google GD Pregnancy Diet... Or ask your doc/midwife to give you a diet plan.  Avoid juices and artificial sweeteners.  Replace any and all cokes with water.  Don't eat fast foods.  Try avoiding processed foods all together.
