You dont feel them stitch you up. then inject you with local anasthetic so you dont feel a thing. i was sittin there legs in the stirrups holdin my baby while she was sewing away lol. it was really funny. it looked like she was sat in front of me just sewing a jumper or something lol. but infact shes sewing up my hoohaa... ahhhh... you really lose all care at that point. i hate anyone looking at my hoohaa (other then my bf) but i didnt care who walked in or got a look lol. and because i got piles from pushing baby out i didnt feel my stitches at home... just a really sore bum .. contractions are painfull but when your going through them you just take 1 at a time and its fine. were made for giving birth... so you will be ok :)

I was terrified too! I was afraid of contractions I was afraid of the epidural I was afraid of the stitches. But my experience went like this..went to sleep Friday night, woke up at 2am to pee and my water broke on the way to the br. Didn't feel any contractions but went to l&d anyway. I was already 4cm when I got there so they set me up in a room. Still no contractions but I got an epidural anyway, it didn't hurt at all it actually tickled me and I HATE needles! Layed around until about 3pm. Dr came in and asked ne to start pushing I had a little trouble at first it takes a minute to get the hang of pushing when you're numb from the waist down lol. Baby was born at 3:52pm I felt no pain and I didn't even know I was getting stitches until I saw the Dr pulling a string out of my vag Haha. The afterwards recovery hurt I won't lie ur pretty sore for a couple days but Tucks helps a lot!

I was scared but once you go into labor you just do it. And you can and you will! My epidural didn't completely work. It only numbed my one side not the other so I felt a lot of the pain. Everyone's epidural takes differently. Don't worry you will be just fine.

Before getting pregnant I was terrified actually thought I wouldn't have baby . But wanted one so bad . Then I lost one n thought I lost this one at first . That makes me appreciate it and know that I been thro emotional pain n not had nothing good but now I'll deal with the physical pain as I get my lil man for the rest of my life. Just think of the good things

Everyone is scared of giving birth,  sweetheart.  ;D

But have you noticed,  throughout history (even back in the day when there were no pain killers?) women had lots of children.

It's okay.  You'll get through it fine.  There were women on the prairie who gave birth with no meds and they chose to do it,  like,  10 times.

I had my daughter 3 weeks ago.  I watched videos and heard stories.  I can honestly say each experience is different.  All my friends said there contractions lasted a few days.  Not mine. ..every thing happened in 21 hours.  I was in so much pain I had to get an epidural.  My plan was not to n I don't regret that decision either.  Just remember women r meant to have babies!!! Best of luck

NO idea why, but I'm more scared to (if need be) get stitched up after, and not be able to completely rest after- because I'll be taking care of another human life! I plan to get an epidural but I know sometimes it doesn't work the way you want it to, or you progress too fast and don't have enough time so I'm prepared.
