hi stacey!
yes, i did a bunch of research on b6 and how it works best with b12. i saw some women who would take 500 mcg plus their prenatal and i thought that was swimming very close to the dangerous zone. considering your body only needs 1.5 mcg. so thought starting lower is a good idea. and it has worked for me.
i hadn't heard of vitex. i see from one page that it can affect libido : (. i like how they tell you how it works though that is helpful!. i will certainly keep it in mind for future reference though.
thanks!
yep its def good for lengthening the luteal ph and dont take more than 50 mg per day also vitex can help with lengthening it as well :)
update:
taking b50 for one month gained a day to my cycle. month two i gained two more. so i reached a regular 14 lp after two months. found out later that if you do take the b6 to slowly withdraw yourself off of it, don't do cold turkey.
hope that is helpful to future people looking up b6 for lengthening your luteal phase.
can you get prometrium over the counter? i haven't gone to the doctor yet cause i want 3 months of temps before i go, one month left. i suspect i need progesterone early, though the doc says i will get some as soon as i show a positive. but will wait and see what he says after 3 months of temp. but what i see from my temps is a short luteal phase. so i'd like to attempt to correct it on my own, if possible.
thanks for the help!
I was put on prometrium 2 days after I ovulate until I get my cycle bc I have 24 day cycles. I never had a cycle while on it though bc I got pregnant the first month I was on it. I had 3 miscarriages within 5 months and the last one was 7 months ago. I'm not familiar with the b6 but hope this helps good luck!
