I know it's never certain to know but I was wondering my mom had brown eyes and my dad had green eyes and my grandmother has blue eyes and my boyfriend mom has blue eyes and her mom had blue eyes but me and my bf have brown eyes is there a chance that eye color can skip generations has anyone had this happen?

I have dark brown eyes, my bf has green eyes and both sets of grandparents have green and brown eyes, my daughter has ice blue eyes. The only person in my family with that eye colour was my great gran, they were exactly the same shade of blue as my daughters.

brown is dominant blues and greens are all recessive traits. the only way to get a recessive too come through is with a recessive and recessive i.e. rr opposed from Dr or DD. i remember learning this in biology in high school. that's all i know. it's all just luck. also they are Africans with pale blue eyes but in those cases its a "deformity" in the genes.

I have light blue eyes and always get asked if I'm the milkman's baby because my mom & dad both have brown eyes. It's commonly mistaken that eye color is determined like other genes (the dominant - recessive types) but eye color is actually comes from a combination of genes from 15 different chromosomes. So... you are perfectly capable of having a blue or green eyed baby. If you popped out like 20 babies there would of course be a higher chance of seeing this lol. My bf has brown eyes and both my kids have brown eyes (but they are almost golden in the sunlight). I'd love for my last baby due in August to get my blue eyes!

All of my family on my side have blue eyes including myself, whereas all of my husband's side of the family including him have brown eyes. What are the chances of my son having blue eyes?

Babies eye colour can change up to like a year after they are born most are born with blue or grey eyes.... Brown is a more dominant gene seeing as it's just your mum with brown eyes I'd say your baby is likely to end up with blue or green. If you and your boyfriend both had brown eyes even if your parents and grandparents and his had blue and green it's likely that your baby would have brown

Me and my bf have brown eyes. His mom had hazel eyes but his brother got the hazel eyes lol. My dads side has Brown eyes besides 4 of my cousins who have really pretty light green eyes. My mom has blue eyes and my grandma has blue eyes. Im hoping my grandma is going to pass some color to my baby because she passed 1-2 days after i conceived..may God rest her soul.

on a scientific note for that to happen you would both have to pass a blue eyes gene to the baby..there is a 25 percent chance your baby will have blue eyes..75 percent chance brown or hazel..green is more of  mutation..hope it helped :)

My mom has hazel eyes, my dad has blue eyes, my husband's mom has green eyes, and his dad has brown. I have hazel my husband has brown, our first daughter has brown and our second has hazel like me. There is a small chance but since you both have brown more then likely your first will have brown.
