I'm not sure? lol where did I get what from? :) your pelvic floor muscle is the muscle you use when you stop doing a wee midstream, you can do this exercise anywhere and just pull the muscle up, you can do quick ones, then slow ones, your perineuim is the skin between your vagina and bum,, this is what can tear or be cut, you can google perineal massage and it will give you instructions on how to do this :)
Va jj hole and Your booty?
Thank you guess so much for all the information :)...its really making things a lot easier for me...And I try and.make sure I do the kegels at least twice a day....and isn't that the little area between your va j
Where did you get it from?
as the above two posters have said, doing your pelvic floor excercises can help and also perineal massage can help as well, the earlier you start the both of the the better, also your midwife or doctor should be guiding you when babies head is about to crown, you should be told to stop pushing and to breathe babies head out, and you may also be told to do baby pushes, its hard and you need to concentrate,m when all your body is telling you to do is to push, but you can do it, I've had 10 natural births and havent torn, been cut with any of them
Ive read that kegal exercises help and if you look in the book "what to expect while expecting" there is a section that describes a perinial massage technique that is suppose to help! I highly suggest that book!!
To prevent tearing you or your partner can stretch the area about 6 weeks out. This can help prevent tearing.
It's hard to reach and uncomfortable but better then tearing or being cut.
Good luck!!
