Do you think it's lame for me to host my own baby shower? I don't have any really close friends or family who would think to have one for me but apparently it's not 'baby shower etiquette' to host your own. Will I look like an idiot if I host my own?

I wish I could do mine by myself but my mil wants to do the whole freaking thing which makes me and my mom pissed so sooner or later we gotta say something to her but I domt wanna huet her feelings like she can help bit I sound spoiled I want it my way..!

Might be better to do it yourself cause supposedly my SIL my MIL my mom and my sister are supposed to be planning mine but I seem to always be thrown into it and they stress me out about stuff and my mom and my SIL don't get along and I'm about to pull my hair out!  It'd almost be easier for me to do it myself!

Noo, I hosted my baby shower when I was pregnant with my daughter. And we had an awesome turn out.

I planned and am hosting my own baby shower. My baby shower is satutday. No one offered to throw me one so i decided to do it myself.

My partner said he wants me to have 1 but I gotta plan my own as he dont know the 1st thing about hosting lol so im basically throwing my own too a lot of people host their own now I think luv xx

Since my husband is in the Navy and we are moving away from the area that I grew up in. I'm  hosting my own before I even know what I'm having because we are moving soon. I haven't even announced my pregnancy on Facebook yet lol. But I'm having it at a steakhouse and my parents are paying for our lunch.  So I guess it kinda works out.  No one has really said anything so I guess it just works out.

I co planned/hosted with my mom. I was gonna do it alone, and she asked if she could help. I'm a spoiled brat Lol Im 17 and I am 1 girl out of 7 boys. But I don't like parties of any kind that are for me that I had no idea what was going on. So we helped each other.

I don't think you'd look like anything but an awesome mom! Do it yourself, then you know exactly what's happening and you can do whatever you'd like.

I wish I had done mine I have 10 days til my due date. my shower was thrown together at the last minute by my sister (who was supposed to be planning it months ago) for this Saturday and was planned on Sunday so I doubt anyone's going to even show up

Oh dear. My husband and I hosted our own baby shower and planned it because we wanted it to be perfect. Naturally, my mom took over and made the whole day about her and her new bf and I was suuuper mad. DON'T let anyone take over. Remember, you only get one baby shower so make it perfect. If that means hosting it yourself, then go for it. Do what you want.

Of course not! Im going to host mine along with my mom. I personally love the planning and decorating. I like to have my say and have it the way I want it :)

I don't think you would. I wish I was throwing my own baby shower, honestly.
