Okay, thanks for the info ladies!:D
Hospital shampoo is horrible! Lol I packed all my own stuff. make up, hair stuff, lots of comfy clothes. And I packed the babys diaper bag even though the hospital provides diapers wipes and onesies I wanted my babies to be in their own clothes. :)
If ur in the states the hospital will have everything for the baby and u can take whatever u have left over home. If ur in the uk, Ireland and some other countries u need to bring everything for baby they usually give u a list. So im in California I just packed outfits for my baby and outfits for me and other essentials the hospital will give u shampoo and towels but I swear they are tiny so I say get all that ready.
The hospital supplies you with moslty everything. Pack what you would pack for a weekend trip. Plus an outfit for baby. And I would take your own pillow. Its comforting.
I would take plenty of lose bottoms to wear after the birth as the amount you bleed is ridiculous and you may find you leak a lot.. other essentials are
breast pads
maternity pads
toothpaste
tooth brush
lip balm
hairbrush
clothes for little one
nappies
cotton balls (some hospitals tell you off for using babywipes to clean babys bum when they are newborn)
pillow for your comfort
magazine to ease boredom
snacks
Camera
shower gel
shampoo
Wanna add your charger, purse w insurances and hospital paper work for birth certificate. And change for vending machine. Nipple cream if your breast feeding.
Diapers, wipes, bottles, blanket, two outfits and pjs for you, brush, toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo/conditioner, lotion, wipes for you, a pillow if you want your own, that is really it. Oh, and some snacks! Lol.
Nappies n wipes n stuff for the little one, ne shower bits for after and some good mat pads and stuff.for urself as its ur first u prob.won n.let out straight away so enough for a.day or 2, hope this helps
