Usually when you lose your mucus plug, it means you're thinning and possibly dilating! But the white discharge is normal throughout your entire pregnancy (: also, you usually have contractions! But not all the time!
Discharge is common at any stage of pregnancy. I never heard that it meant you're dilating and I doubt that that's what it is.
