how do they weigh the baby while your prego?

I've seen a lot of posts where the docs have given a guesstimate of the baby's weight and my doc hasn't done that at all nor have I got any more ultrasounds sense I found out I was having a baby girl. I'm 34wks just curious

Thanks for all your answers ladies I was just curious cuz they did with my last pregnancy although it was more of how many weeks he was measuring rather than actual weight. thanks again!

Im 36weeks and my doctor only did 2 of them and since everything is ok he wont do anymore because he sais the weight estimation can he off by up to 2lbs

Some drs don't do it because the weight is never correct. It can be 2-3 lbs off. Personally I think it scares moms into wanting to have a csection or to be induced early because they don't want to push out a "big" baby.

Mine never did it with my other two pregnancies and I havent had them do it with this one either. I thought I was the only one who had no clue what my baby is supposedly weighing

I'm 35 weeks. My doctor never told me how much my daughter weighs!! Haven't had an ultrasound since 20weeks

I'm 39 weeks and my doctor hasn't done it. :( all that I know is at 31 weeks she was 4 lbs

How? Like via ultrasound or by measuring your belly?

Its not the exact wait like u said just an estimate but they messure the babys head around his waist and his legs thats what they did for mine
