What do you do about people inviting themselves to your shower. First off I'm not the one hosting it my friend is but I did the guest list since its gonna be small and mostly family. Well someone that I haven't seen or talked to in about a year started asking if her, her two daughters an her sis can come. Yes they are in my bfs family but we don't ever see them. And no one under 17 was coming n her two kids are 9 and 11. Not sure what to do about this.
Tell her that everyone coming is bringing a $100 or more gift. See how fast she backs out, and if she doesn't you just got something awesome
You could say that it's not really her it's a money issue that's why it's a smaller type shower and the place you're hosting it at isn't big enough for the list you've already written up. She may get upset, but hey it's your shower. You have every right to decide who or who doesn't come.
