Let him help with the baby or help u fix things for the baby. He'll feel proud and important and it'll help u. :-)
Yeah I was thinking of buying him a gift and giving it to him when he came to meet his brother or sister for the first time or do u think thats a bad idea
Let him help you like pnut0620 said and also play with him while the baby is asleep so he doesn't feel jealous . Good luck and congrats on your family! (:
I think the gift is a good idea too maybe buy somethin he can give the baby "just from him" kind of thing
I loved when my mom had me sing my little sister to sleep when she was a baby. Try working him into the baby's bedtime routine. My fiance is two years his brother's senior. I'll ask him if there's anything he remembers that his mom did. :)
Your welcome and I would say you should get him a gift for when his brother or sister comes home I don't think that would be a bad idea .
He said "find ways for them to be together. But don't force him. He will be fascinated with his tiny sibling."
Since my son is the oldest its his job to protect his little sisters like a superhero! I even made him a cape! I think 2 yr olds are more resilient to that kind of stuff than you think ... prepare daddy and let him know that sometimes he may need to step in and help more with big brother so you can take care of baby.
