Why are you getting induced?
I'm being induced on the 23rd too! The only thing I'm afraid of is the pitocin drip because it's a synthetic hormone and makes the contractions hurt more than natural contractions
Trying walking, having sex and doing squats to lessen the chances of being induced.
It's not that bad really, at least it wasn't for me. The first time around is scary because you don't know what to expect or how it feels or what the process is. The admitted me got me all set up on the iv and all that jazz. Then my dr came in and broke my water. That was the scary part. They use a long crochet like hook and puncture the sac. I was already 3 cm and pretty far effaced when so I didn't feel any pain, I'm not sure if you will not being dilated either. Then they gave me my epidural right after and started me on pitocin so I didn't feel anything at all, except nauseas because I ate before I went in and no one had told me not to! Do not eat before you go in! And from there it was a waiting game and took a total of 6 hours. If you choose to go pain med free I'm not sure how that will be. I hear that contractions from being induced hurt more than when labor starts on its own. I think that's because the contractions from being induced don't start out small or light they are pretty strong from from the get go. I was also induced with second and that was easy and so super quick. Just know that everyone's bodies respond differently to labor as well as being induced. I hope everything goes goes well for you.
