I plan on going bc as soon as the baby is out.. my husband is against me being on bc while breast feeding and says he will just pull out. HA! Im not ending up with irish twins... i was thinking either iud or the arm implant.

The copper coil is fab :) I had it for three years, had it taken out and got pregnant two months later. I will defo have that put back in once I've had my baby girl :)

Please dont if you plan on more kids.
It can cause you to have your cycle screwed with massively , put in a shitload of weight.
I went on it after my first and it took 18mths to fall again and also put on a crapload of weight too.

I am thinking of getting the copper iud because it is hormone free or going back to the moni pill. I was on the mini pill as our only form of bc for a few years with no issues and it doesn't have estrogen. Got pregnant within the first month of being off of it. It isn't supposed to mess with breastfeeding

the depo has only a 90% chance of you mot getting pregnant then if you do get pregnant on it you have a 70% chance of your baby coming out with mmr or down syndrom my sister had a son while on it he came out mmr and thats when i found out they could be born like that from the depo and switched and never went back because thats not worth it to me so really research all of them and pick what side effects you can live with and reseach what could happen to the baby if you get prego on what ever you chose

Well the only bc yu can get right after yu give birth is the depo shot(which is what I'm getting on) other bc yu have to wait until yur checkup with yur Dr after birth.. The depo shot yu only have to get every 3 months which is good I'm not worried about gaining weight since I kinda need it anyways (I'm 4'11" & before I was pregnant I was only abt 100lbs now I'm only abt 120 & still look real thin I got all belly lol)

Depo has a lot of side affects and can cause women to have issues getting pregnant when they stop using it. I liked implanon and was on it for two years. After i have this baby i am going for iud because it last longer then implanon .

I'd go with the Mirena IUD, it releases progesterone with coverage it's about... $90 I believe without its a little over $400, depo shot and so only progesterone you get a shot every 3 months and it's $40

My cousin was so skinny, and she got the shot a couple times and literally blew up! She told me she gained 60 pounds! She said it was the worst decision she ever made because she can't loose the weight.

I got the Mirena after my baby and I love it. It's effective immediately and she told me more than likely I wouldn't have a period the whole I was breastfeeding and possibly after that. I spotted for awhile which is normal, but I haven't had a period. It took like 5 mins to get and I was good to go.

Yea im going to really look into choices. We were raw for 7 years and this is our first pregnancy...just when i had finally accepted we couldnt have children BAM! I got pregnant lol.

Yea i think im illergic to condoms to... havnt used them with my bf in 3 years... they felt like they gave me rubber burn and it was not fun and it hurt plus lets be honest it feels much better skin to skin XD but i got prego on the pill after 3 years of being on it cuz they switched me dosage and didnt say not to have sexy time <-lol but i thought about either the arm implant or depo but ive heard bad things about depo and the merana my sister had and it moved on her n cause lots of bleeding so she had to get it removed.

I completely agree I'm allergic to them as well it *****! My husband and I were raw and it took us like 6 months to get pregnant without anything.

I'm thinking about using Mirena after this one is born. I've never been on birth control before and I absolutely hate taking pills, but I don't think I want the shot or implant either. My husband and I always used condoms but I got pregnant with this one while using condoms so we plan on using something more effective until he gets snipped.

Im allergic to condoms.. and sorry tmi but for 7 years we have been raw... i think condoms would spoil it. Ive never used bc before so im unsure

Oh, and I get pregnant SUPER easy too btw. It took one try for me to get pregnant for this baby and only a month for my other child. ;)

My husband and I are all about condoms. Lol. I took birth control pills and hated them for the first year of our marriage. I didn't trust them and I didn't like the idea of it messing with my body. So we switched to condoms. That was 4 1/2 years ago. Both of my children were planned while I have two friends that had babies while on birth control. Lol

Yes you can gain weight but you just watch what you eat and take care of yourself. I've had the depo, the pills and the mirena. And honestly I loved the depo and the mirena. Once I have baby I'll be returning to the depo or mirena.

I'm still debating but I'm thinking on getting back on the depo It's once every 3mths so u don't have to worry about forgetting to take it every day

With the implanon u can gain up 50lbs or more! I used depo shot for 4yrs and i just watched what i was eating i gained no weight during that time
