It also depends on wether your breastfeeding or not as if you are this will limit your choice as to waht you can use
I took pills for the longest time before baby and they worked great but now that she's here I seem to forget to take them LoL! I am currently on the patch and love it! You just stick it on the top of your arm or on your hip and change it out once a week. It's super easy!!
The Nuvaring is nice cuz it's little to worry about. Start your period and insert it for three wks, then remove. Repeat. Very simple!
well i got the mirena after my first son and all i kno was that it was soo uncomfortable idk if it was just to big or wat but i put up with it for almost 3 years bc im horrible at taking pills but it constantly hurt me & had to get the string cut down numerous times bc everytime me and my hubby would have sex he could feel it and it hurt him so he didnt like having sex anymore... but having the string cut so many times to avoid that ment i had to get it surgically removed when i finally got it out bc the dr couldnt reach the string to pull it out.... but like anniebrooke said everyone is different bc my best friend loves hers and has had it in for 5 yrs and plans on getting a new one put in right after..
Apparently everyone is different. I loved my IUD.
My SIL got the IUD right after having her daughter, and HATED it, make sure you read all after effects of all BC and risks before you make a decision! I love Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo birth control pills, low hormones, work great, and I got really good at taking pills from my prenatals so it was no different! Good luck!
You need to figure out what works best for you. Are you looking for non-hormonal, or hormonal. Are you bad/good at taking pills, do you want something you don't take daily?
This is my first too. My OB recommended either 5 or 10 year IUD. You can have it removed at any time. I'm getting the IUD and having it removed maybe three years after having my baby in October
