birth control?

So I personally don't like birth control but I think I should get on it after I have my baby (since I'm 17)
What birth controls do you ladies recommend? And why?
I would really like some opinions, since I've never been on any before!
TIA! :)

The Nuva ring is amazing, that's what I'll go back on when I have my baby! I have visual migraines so I have to be on a low dose birth control, and I LOVED my Nuva ring! Most people worry about if they put it in wrong, but I never had an issue with it! Put it in for 3 weeks, and take it out a week! Plus if you want to take it out to have sex the hormones stay in your body for up to 2 hours! Another one of my friends did it and she had no weight gain either, I didn't notice I had any weight gain when I was on it, but didn't pay that close of attention either.

I had the IUD and loved it. No periods and good for 5 years. Never had to worry about a shot or remember to take a pill.

Talk to your dr about your options after you have baby as some of them you can't use while breastfeeding. I took the contraceptive pill and had to wait til I stopped bf before starting it again. After this baby I'll go back on it again as I've never had any side effects and I'm super good at remembering to take it each day at roughly the same time.

If you dont like it, you can just track when you get fertile. A good book to help you figure it out is "taking charge of your fertility" thats what I used.

Yes plus you have a high chance of getting pregnant within those 5 months and could cause health problems for you and your baby if you get pregnant too soon. Try the iud it's good for 3 yrs
