If you tear badly like me, the tugging feeling can be very distracting if you're trying to bond with baby. If I tear badly again, I'll give the baby over to be weighed and whatnot during the stitching. My first memories of my daughter are tainted with my midwife between my legs for almost an hour.
They gave me a shot I didnt pay attention to it bur I didnt feel anything anyways
They gave me a shot of numbing medicine and went right at it afterwards I felt everything but it didn't hurt much because I was to focused on my baby. Also I only had one stitch. And technicaly they are only supposed to stitch you up if you need 4 or more.
I had an epidural and didn't feel it when they were stitching me up. Just a little tugging here and there but no pain.
I didn't tear with either of my kids I have two so no stitches
They'll use local anesthetic. I felt tugging but no piercing.
I had a epidural and I still felt the stitches. the doctor will use a local anesthetic if you dont get a epidural to help numb the area. Its pretty quick though it only took like 2 minutes. and I got a episiotomy so i think my wound was much deeper than a normal tear.
They numbed me down there before they stitched. I felt a little prick here and there but nothing painful.
I had stitches with my 1st and it was horrible they let me keep the gas and air while they did it thank god but I felt like such a wimp as moaned more during stitches then did giving birth lol
With my first I didn't feel anything after I had given birth.
