peircing down there.

I've heard you have to take them out. Is this true?!

Yup. They told me if I was admitted I had to even take out my earrings. Pretty much all metal on your body. Which didn't make sense to me cause the snaps on the hospital gown are metal -.-

Regardless of the piercing placement if you need a c-section you have to take it out.

At my first dr appt my ob told me it was up to me if I wanted to take it out or leave it in. I dont know if there are different rules in different states.

Any metal piercing they make you take out regardless of where you are pierced. Reason being is if during labor they have to take you for surgery/c-section, you have a risk of being burned by the equipment they will use to cauterize you and any metal in the body will react by getting hot and burning you. I'm not sure if you would have to take out a genital piercing just because of placement or not? Ask your doctor, if you are pregnant chances are they've already had to examine you and have seen the piercing, so they should be able to tell you.
