Question for already moms!

I jut saw a comment that said you dont really need that many cloths. Granted "that many" could mean ten out fits or 300...about how man outfits/cloths did you buy compared to what you actually used?

Yea it all depends on how much baby weighs.  If she is below 6 lbs I would do newborn.  7 & up 0-3months.

I wouldn't buy a lot of newborn. Maybe a 5 pack onezies for that first week. After that,  0-3mo & 3-6mo is what I would stock up on until he/she outgrows it

I had my daughter in a lot of outfits actually but it was summer outfits so the bottoms were usually a light pair of pants or bloomers. She was 7 lbs so normally wouldve been out of newborn clothes but was small so she stayed in newborn clothes and diapers for over a month. It really just depends on if you want to dress the baby up or not for outfits and how often you are going to change their clothes (I know some moms that after EVERY spit up change the baby's clothes).

That's true, and stay away from Newborn sizes, they are useless.
Ross has cheap Onesies from Calvin Klein, DKNY,  NIKE, Jordan and Caters.

Onesies size 3-6 months are the best route to go.

Our first baby was the first grandchild for both our parents so you can imagine all the clothes that were bought. Most of them he never even wore because he grew out of them so quickly. Honestly he mostly just wore a diaper. He was born in April so it was hot and just really no need for him to be wearing clothes. Personally I woyld just get a few speciality items like something for them to take pictures in after they are born and then if there are any holidays right after they are born get something for those and then just buy a bunch of sleepers, white onesies and gowns. You'll be changing their diaper alot anyways so you dont want to have to go through layers of clothes every single time.
