hair staraightening...

I get my hair straightened permanently every six months. I m due to get them done soon. I m ftm and 37+5 wks preggo. I am wondering whether permanent straightening (takes 4 hrs atleast) done this late will harm my baby or the use of chemicals on my scalp will hurt the baby? Want to look nice before bub arrives but really confuse... Any experience or input ladies ??

I know people in cosmetology and I studied it as well . It is said to have a well ventilated room its more of what your breathe. I questioned myself and doctors and did so much research before I could even color my hair during this pregnancy but there has been no studies to show any birth defects yet . Any doctor will reccomend waiting but they wont advise against it because there is no evidence . Its more recommended to not do it in the first trimister due to the babys changes and important things going on at that stage . Id say its ok . Make sure theres good ventilation though .
