My SON never ever had a bottle! I breastfeed straight out of the boob... Then straight to zippy cups at 6-7 months. Breastfeed til he was 2. It was exhausting but worth every second. Plan to do it with my 2nd child too.

I pumped at the hospital cause I didn't want to have to wean from the breast at six weeks then wean from a bottle later...I did fine.
I'm so glad you asked this question because I was wondering the same thing too lol
The reason for waiting 2 weeks is so that your body can get into sync with baby by producing the right amount of milk. The baby can suck harder and so get more out. If you wait then you will get into a good routine of producing the right amount at the right time. Saying that, I know people who did use a pump straight away and it didn't do their supply any harm. It can also help to have the odd break and give daddy or another family member the chance to bond. Go with whatever works best for you
My best would leak and get so engorged that I would have to pump. I want to breast feed but it hurt so bad with my first baby that I'm to scared to try with my second baby. My son had formula in the hospital cause he started to lose weight. They told me to give him at least 5 ounces a day to get his weight back up. That and not knowing what to really do didn't make it easy. I only lasted 2 months. Did it help anyone to take classes?
The reason they say to wait is because in order for your supply to build up your baby is more efficient at drawing your milk out than a pump. Waiting the two weeks gets your supply established. After that you can pump.
i had no other choice but to pump :'( my daughter had a short tongue and needed that web thing under her tongue cut and by the time they did that, she was already used to bottle feeding...i was soooo upset...but regardless, my daughter had breastmilk for exactly one year :) and i feel very proud bc she is brilliant and is hardly ever sick, she was a fantastic baby, and everything was amazing.....she's three years old now :)
It is tiring but it creates a special bond. My baby got his first bottle at 3 weeks but only because we had a wedding to go to and I didn't want to feed in public yet. Haha I would recommend not giving a bottle right away but its your call!
it depends my sister pumped straight away n got very painful breasts so she gave up altogther i breast fed on demand untill my baby was 4 weeks then started pumping but it was very tiring
do whats bet for you
I did from the start with my son and prolly will with this new little girl too i always fed him for the first couple weeks for 25-30 mind per side then handed him to the hubby so i could pump and make sure my breast were empty so i would make more milk
