breast feeding

i am a first time mom and plan on breast feeding but only for a short period of time,  will i need a breast pump?  I was just wondering since they are expensive i dont want to get one unless i have too

No you don't need it.. only if you want other people to bond and feed him\her too. Like daddy. Or like the post above said.. when you go to work. I'm breastfeeding till he's 6 months.. then I will probably start pumping and bottlefeeding. But if you get engorged you have to get that milk out... warm showers and massaging them should do the trick.  I like to just pump it out. It's an uncomfortable feeling

Are you going to feed the baby when you go back to work that is really the only reason you would need one unless the baby doesn't latch.
