I had few ultrasounds (one or two).  To me, when I heard the heartbeat, all was well.  I had private insurance and the cost of ultrasounds is expensive and is billed to my insurance.  I can see their point that I didn't need them although it is fun to see the baby.  I agree, that is fun.  But I got reassurance from the heartbeat and measuring.

I think that if they are billing anyone for your services at the research clinic, then you're double dipping.  Probably not worth it just for extra ultrasounds in my opinion.  I think you should probably choose who you ultimately want to be a patient of.  good luck

Hi.  Probably not via your insurance.  Why do you want to??  I had 6 doctors in the same practice that I saw though . . .  but my insurance had kind of a 'schedule' that you were to see the doctor unless you had a complication.   You want to see the doctor practice that will deliver your baby in my opinion to let them have some history with you and for you to develop a bit of a relationship.  Just made me feel better as they were helping me deliver my baby.
