caffeine...

How much caffeine does everyone drink a day? I have at least 1 coffee a day. Just wondering if that will affect baby in anyway?

I drink absolutely ZERO caffeine when pregnant or breast feeding. Personal choice. Unless you count the scrant amounts in coco from a chocolate bar or cup of morning cocoa 9_9. It may be a good idea to consume caffeine at least once a week because I realize that I have not had caffeine in so long that I get physically sick when I do have some. A few weeks ago I decided to get a small coffee and as soon as I had it I instantly regretted it! I got a terrible headache and diarrhea instantly. It was a bad day after that.

A single cup of coffee a day is within the 200mg limit but it'd be the only safe caffeine of the day

No more than 200 mg a day is safe! Coffee and the smell of it has possibly been my biggest craving and I only use to drink coffee for work so never on weekends or just because! My cousin told me that was the hardest thing for her to give up and she would drink no more than 200 mg a day and her daughter is perfectly healthy!
