Should i take progesteron if. i have placenta abruptio?

Hi, I live in Montreal and I could not see an gynecologist yet. Just the general doctor saw me.
I call to my gynecologist-perinatologue from mexico and he suggest me take progesterone after I was bleeding for 10 days and after the dr said i had placenta abruptio and an hematome of 5 cm.
I have 17 weeks of pregnancy and I would like to know if is a good idea take the progesterone if here, in canada, any dr talk about it?????
please tell me if the progesterona is gonna help the develop of my pregnancy???

hunny if you have a placenta abrution then you  usually have to deliever!! I dont know what yhe doc told you but thats what i always thought!! DO you have placenta previa or a placental abruption??? When you have a placental abruption then your placenta seperates from the uterine wall and its very risky to the mother and the baby!!! What did your doc aactually tell you and do you have 17 weeks left or are you only 17 weeks along??
