I think when you fill out the application they'll let you know if you qualify and they may ask if you can include baby through your insurance.

I think of he has insurance they might want baby under his. You can try but I worked with a girl who had to give up her insurance through work and apply for medicaid for her and the baby. However every state is different so I'd call them to ask.
