cant use birth control after delivery?!

I was told the IUD is too dangerous for me with my medical history so that is out, i plan to exclusively breastfeed so any pill with estrogen is out as well. Only leaves the mini pill, however, if you are over a certain weight the pill is less effective (i am over that weight). The shot is also out because it almost killed me as a teenager. Which means i have no birth control options after i deliver. :( and getting my tubes tied is not an option as hubby wants a boy still.

You can always use condoms and pulling out combined.

I would suggest the patch you can start using about 3-6mths after the baby and also I breast feed until my boys were 18 mths and never had a regular period until after then.
I would talk to your doctor about getting the patch as you don't have to remember to take it every day and you only put it on every week I think.
Hope this helps Good Luck :)

It would be hard to track my ovulation because i never ovulate at the "normal" time. I ovulate literally right before my period (i have conceived twice right before my period). Guess hubby is just going to have to suck it up and start using condoms. (He doesnt believe he should have t use condoms since we are married) smh. Men

Well a lot of women who breastfeed don't ovulate for a while. Also you can try tracking your ovulation and just make sure you aren't have intercourse during that time or use a condom. It takes disciple but if it all you have then its all you have.
