I am in sort of the same situation. I had unprotected sex with my now ex boyfriend on January 17th and January 19th. (during my fertile days) i ovulated on the 22nd. And on the 28 i began having cramps on both sides on my lower tummy and back pains. The cramps and back pains continued and yesterday (feb.5th) i was supposed to start my period. And I think I did but its not like my normal period. It started out very light and pinkish. A few hours later it got heavery and darker. Today its still a darker red but its still lighter than my normal period. Could this be IB? I read on other sites that some women had heavy implantation bleeding. I should be pregnant right? I mean I had sex 3 days before i ovulated. When should i test?

Doesn't sound like it, normally its a very small amount not just spotting & def no clots. I have read it can be mistaken for your period but the timing would be out if your regular. Good Luck.

Implantation bleeding is nothing like a regular period, it's very light spotting that usually happens a week or so before your period is due.
