chlamydia

Okay ladies I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and was just tested like a week ago for chlamydia. Test results came back today as positive I will be taking antibiotics tomorrow. I was never tested before so I had it before pregnancy of course with the first guy I had sexual intercourse with only had sex with two guys...since I'm being treated tomorrow can my baby have brain damage?  Or be stillborn?

I had it and my son came out just fine! The infection usually never even makes it to your baby because of your mucus plug. Really nothing to worry about :)

Elixy128: that's not true. I never even had an exam because I had one months before. It isn't mandatory.

If you are pregnant and have chlamydia, you can pass the infection to your baby during delivery. This could cause an eye infection or pneumonia in your newborn. Having chlamydia may also make it more likely to deliver your baby too early.

If you are pregnant, you should be tested for chlamydia at your first prenatal visit. Testing and treatment are the best ways to prevent health problems.

I surched it up for you it should be safe though as long as you get treated for it it also says it messes with a womans chance on having a child so you might only have a minor case of it or had just got it when you conceived your baby good luck i hope everything turns out for the best

Did they do a pap smear? You'll be fine as long as you take the medicine.. you should get your partner the meds as well.
