Today I'm going to look at the college daycare for kayden.  He is now four days old and doing great:) he's coming with me because my boyfriends at work and so isnt my dad.  What kind of questions should I ask? He will be almost 3 months by the time school actually starts. I'm really nervous.

All of the above lol, and definitely about their security...also what kind of first aid/ cpr their staff is required to have as well as immunizations. Any special training staff goes through, ask to see where baby will be staying, ask their safety procedures and how they handle medical as well as other emergencies. Ie natural disasters etc...thats all i can think of for now lol. Good luck rose, i hope it works out well. So glad kaydens doing good!

College day cares are normally students who are getting their masters in child development. I would ask all kinds of questions like how often they have tummy time, how they put baby to sleep(because many put them to sleep with a bottle which is a big no no!) ask about their security measures if theres a code for parents to get in etc or if any Pedro the Pedofile can just walk on in

Ask re their staff:child ratios to make sure there's enough staff to look after the amount if children, that all their staff have their qualifications and training up to date, do they do set nap times, what kind of activities they do - do they encourage learning and devlopment from an early age, what kind of meals to they provide (if they provide them) - do you have to supply your own food / milk for baby or do they provide it as part of the cost.   Same with nappies and wipes.   How much are thier fees - ie if you have him booked in for a half day but are running say 30 mins late - how much will they charge you for that.    Do they have the facility to increase his time their as a one off if they are given notice (ie if he only goes every morning are they able to facilitate a full day placement if required if given notice).   What are their opening / closing times - do they operate on public holidays (obv not Christmas but Easter etc) or do they close.      I used to be a Nursery Nurse 10 years ago so trying to remember that far back :) x

I would ask their qualifications and how many people they have on staff. Maybe also ask if their will be babies kaydens age to play with. And possibly what kaydens schedule would like there. Feeding times and things like that.

Im not sure which questions u should ask. But my mom dod the college daycare when i was a couple weeks old and she said it worked out wonderful. Maybe ask about the schedule for feeding, sleeping. The hours of operation and how much it cost extra if you happen to be late one day. If they accept sick babies. A lot of times daycare have a rule that babies are too stay home and cant come back 24h after the.  last time they puke. Theres obviously a lot of questions to ask, i just dont know much about it. Maybe look online, u may get a couple of good questions there
