confused please help clarify

Hi All, okay so i have been looking at the ovulation calcuators and not sure if i have got this right

My cycle is 31 days and i worked out my luteal phase is 10 ( i think)

That would mean i only wait 1 week before my periods are due??
When would Implantation happen it says 15 days but my periods would be due then right??

im so confused someone please help clarify

Im not really sure to be honest, i had been trying around cd17 with a OPK but kept coming one light pink line and one dark line, which i was told was negative! i kept getting this for a week, Then the next week i noticed a cloggy non sticky discharge which i thought was after Ovulation.. So i just put two and to together, but i have no idea about this timing stuff so i know i had mixed something up.

Lissie- hi! You need a luteal phase over 10 days in order to conceive because there wouldn't be enough time for a fertilized embryo to implant before your body begins to menstruate. If your body menstruates it sloughs off the uterine lining. Think of your womb like a nest. Your period is shedding that nest. No nest = no baby. I believe taking B6 or some B vitamin can help lengthen your luteal phase. You'll need to do some research on that end.

Anyway if your cycles are 31 days you'll want to be ovulating around CD17. How did you figure you ovulate on CD21?
