Sorry I meant semen analysis not dementia analysis
The partner only needs a semen analysis when using clomid. And I highly doubt they would give it to a 17 year old. Metformin like I said, is for insulin resistance. not every woman with pcos is insulin resistant. I have pcos, and I didn't need metformin to get pregnant. I did have to use clomid though. Being that metformin is considered a diabetic drug, if she needed it, I don't think they'd deny her, but I'm not certain.
For the metformin u don't have to have a semen analysis I am not insulin resistant that I know of and they gave it to me. I am not sure what age u have to be to get metformin but I do know that my doc tried to put me on birth control and she knew that I was trying to conceive. With clomid the partner will need a dementia analysis. I have been on metformin for a month and I quit taking it because I had a period when I first started taking it and now I am 8 days late for my period now. I thought it was supposed to regulate your cycle but have her talk to her doctor they may or may not give it to her due to age
Metformin is for insulin resistance. I have pcos, but I'm not insulin resistant, so I didn't have to take metformin while ttc. I did have to take clomid to ovulate, but I doubt they'd give it to a 17 year old. You have to have a semen analysis beforehand and have been ttc for a year.
