Im 37 weeks i dnt no how to tell when to go into the hospital wit my 1st it was easy because my water broke..but today i was feeling a like a sharp pain on my left side the pain would only last like a min..how long does the pain suppose to last.  Because i no it suppose to be 5 min apart does the pain last 5min to.

My contractions lasted about a minute long every time. Even when it was pushing time they were still about a minute, just extremely strong lol. Every now and then there would be some that would only last 30 seconds, but most of them were a minute long. Hope that helps! If you're worried then I'd go get checked, but definitely keep counting those baby kicks.

To start with they should last about a minute and be spaced evenly apart. When pains do get to 5 minutes apart or before if you need pain relief then just ring your doctor and go in. I had same problem, my 1st my waters broke and my 2nd I was induced so kinda worried this time :) x
