Vbac mommies or thoughts.

I actually don't even know what I'm doing. This is my second pregnancy I had a csection with my first simply because he was 9lbs and they thought he would be to big to deliver naturally I was also 3wks early. I gained 50 lbs with him at time of delivery I weighed 158 so yes big baby but I wish they would have let me try they didint. Anyway I've heared about moms who have had attempted vbac. Idk what I want at this point I would like to try it however I'm very nervous and just confused I don't know much about this or all the risk involved so I would really just like to no more about this and opinions please.

Thank you. I'm still early in my pregnancy so I have some time to think about it especially since I'm really worried about it. Its been 4.5 since my csection so the risk does drop a little. Unfortunately my Dr does not do vbac so I would have to look around. My csection  was not planned either so I wasn't prepared for that at all. I passed out midway and woke up later in the recovery room. That was horrible I didn't know what had happens I was confused. But thank you for your thougts

I also had a c-section with my first, I was in active labor for about 12 hours, and 8cms dilated when they lost his H/B, he ended up coming via emergency c-section and was almost 9lbs also (I'm only 4'11) so they assumed he was just too large to fit through my birth canal. Your doctor can't tell you that you HAVE to have a c-section because you're having a bigger baby, you still have the right to try naturally, just insist that it's what you want to do. Don't let them talk you out of it. Have you asked your doctor if he/she allows VBAC's? Some doctors don't. so you may have to look around for one, but if he/she does, then it's completely up to you, there are risks but they're greater if it's been less than 2 years since your previous c-section, if it's been later then the risk of your uterus rupturing is like less than 2%. There is risks anyway you deliver, naturally, VBAC, or c-section. We've chosen a repeat c-section this time just because our son is in school and anything to keep as easy of a routine as possible for him is all the matters to me, and the emergency c-section, being put completely under, losing his H/B, and not waking up for 2 hours after my c-section was terrible, I like knowing what's going to happen exactly. Good luck mama!
