Im a vbac also! :-) was induced and had a cesarean with my son three years ago. And im 28 weeks and I've been thinking about that as well lol. My doctor said to come in when they are laying 50-60 seconds and 5 minutes apart. To count you start when your belly gets hard till when it's normal again :-) and then in between  that hardening of your belly is how far apart they are :-)

When I had my first son....the way I was taught to count them was....how long they last and count how far apart they are until the next contractions....and most likely if they are lasting longer and the contractions are close together then you will probably be in labor. Hope this helps:)
