My mom recommended her doctor to me who delivered my lil sister and I love her. My daughter will also have to the same doctor I had growing up! Idk why I'm excited about that lol

A lot of my friends already have had babies so I asked around about which OB they went to, looked at their reviews and credentials online and then decided to go with the doctor that delivered me 21 years ago. I thought it was special and kind of cool how the doctor that delivered me also delivered my son. But as a lot of women don't have that option, I still looked up credentials and reviews.

You may have to try out different doctors throughout your pregnancy to find one you like. As long as you know you CAN CHANGE your doctor AT ANY TIME throughout your pregnancy. I'm going through the office I go to for my yearly appointments but they have 5 gyno's there so I have to see all of them because for my delivery I will have whoever is on call at that time. I may end up going somewhere else because I want to know for sure who will be delivering my baby.

I looked at the reviews of all the doctors my insurance accepted and picked one that way. I ended up switching doctors because she just wasnt informational enough for me and I like to know everything. I went where all my boyfriends sisters went (18 nieces and nephews!) And I love my new doctor! Remember your first doctor doesn't have to be your last, you can switch if you end up not liking them. Look at the doctors reviews, and ask around about them. I think a good website was healthgrades.com or something like that and I use it for picking any doctor and its ussually accurate. Also make sure your comfortable if you pick going to see a man, which for me is very uncomfortable. He is going to spend a lot of time looking at you down there! You should ask at the first appointment about things that are important to you like how you want to give birth and make sure you both agree to the same things.
