Breastfeeding helped soooo much to sleep at night, just let baby suck and both of you fall asleep. I loved it but after three months didn't produce as much. Just keep latching or pumping to get the milk production going. Try oatmeal to help produce more. It felt kind weird to me but it was a lot easier than waking up to make bottles -.- oh and also make sure to take turns with breasts because I would produce more from one and my breats got a little uneven :$

Ididnt breastfeed my 1st one it was frustrating & iwould feel bad for her crying cause she couldnt latch , now w.my 2nd he was born tongue-tied & its imposible to breastfeed & now ijust had my 3rd , & my doing formula & breastfeeding. Try breastfeeding 1st & then if it doesnt wrk well go to formula. Dont feed bad about it its okay. As long as your baby isnt straving

I'll definitely be trying breastfeeding first.. I found it so painful with my first that I had to give up and reach for the bottle after 3 days. But I hear nipple Shields are quite good at preventing the pain/soreness??

My baby is 3 weeks old tomorrow and breastfeeding the first two weeks are the hardest and I really wanted to give up, but I'm sticking to it and it's already getting easier. I pump too and overnight my fiancé gives him a bottle of breast milk so I get can get a good 5 hours of sleep lol but I wake up with rock hard aching boobs. But I would say try it for a month at least and it will get so easy good luck

So at first ur nipples hurt so bad and u even bleed stays hurting for a couple of days but it is worthy like someone said here u save alot on formula main reason. Is not about saving but ur baby being very healthy with breast milk...my husband used to spent so much money on milk with our first child now with this one I bottle feed and breast feed just when I go out is that I bottle feed if maybe 1or two bottles but I breastfeed the most all day and night...my daughter is only 14 days old and so far everything is good with her..

I'd try breastfeeding most definitely, but don't feel like a bad mother or that your baby won't get what it needs if it doesn't work out and you go to formula. (:

When you breastfeed, your milk is always ready and at the right tempreature. No need to make baby wait while you get the bottle ready and warm it up. No risk of heating it too much. No need to take plenty of stuff with you when you leave the house because you always have your boobs with you. The negative is that all the feeding duty will be yours. It can leave you exausted and the father left out. But you can always pump your milk so the father can help.

I was the same way. But when my doctor explained to me that breastfeeding gives your baby 10/10 nutrients he needs compared to about 3/10 with formula. But it is worth a try to breast feed and it. It doesn't work just transition to formula. Also breastfeeding will save you a lot of money than having to buy all the formula.
