I'm goin to feel so lost w/o them, esp the oldest. I had him for 8 & 1/2 yrs, he's like my right hand man & when he looks at me, ik he genuinely loves me the way tht I love him :"(
It's a felony in Florida as well. But only if u don't have a doghouse provided for them. I'm sorry u have to get rid of your babies. I feel your pain completely.
Humane society came, our fence is opened & our dogs don't get away. I got my warnin today, but the only reason they came was because another house on our street has poodles on chains with telephone wires around their neck as collars. So everybody on my street has to give up their dogs because we all have pits on chains. My dogs are too big to be ina house & too playful to be around me at the moment because they try to jump in my stomach. But we've always had them chained & they're not aggressive at all. It's breakin my heart so bad, because the police or anybody else didn't have a problem with it. I'm extremely mad at the ppl dwn the street.
But they can't just take away your dogs. They either have to ticket you or warn you before they can actually do that. Especially if it's a first offense. And either way. They'll immediately take them if they're malnourished.
I was involved with an animal shelter and humane society. It is illegal. It's called chained and tethering. & it's because the dogs become more anxious or aggressive. That's not a safe environment for them. & also they can die of hear exhaustion and choke. The dog doesn't have to be inside but it is required to either have a fence or dog house.
Yes it is a felony to have dogs chained. Well in GA it is idk where you guys are. I had a dog and at the time we had her chained to a pole and our neighbors called the police on us. When the police came they gave us a warning and said there not allowed to be chained. Either put in the back yard or in The house.
Its no felony to have dogs chained. Well atleast its not here
I feel for you because i had an extremely sweet pitbull and we moved from an apartment into a house.. I knew he would have loved it but we gave him up to give him a better life, he needed more exercise than i could give him, and i couldnt deal with his accidents any more especially with my second baby on the way, he was an escape artist, and now we take care of my husbands grandmother as well. Turns out he was adopted to a nice family on a farm which eases my conscience. My daughter still asks for him. I completely understand the pain involved with giving up a beloved pet. Why were they on chains, if i may ask? Did they escape ?
What is a felony? What people told you?
