diapers ? for already mommies

About how many packs of newborn diapers did you go through before baby went to size 1. I just have the Huggies newborn pack of 60 and wondering if I should go ahead and buy another...

My daughter was 6 days early and went straight to size one diapers (newborns were too small and she was 8lbs 5oz and 20 in)...she will be 5 weeks on Wednesday and is finishing her last few size 1 diapers and will be moving to size 2 already. I wouldn't buy anymore size newborns until ur little one is here bc u can always run out and buy more if u have to :)

They never told me either but lee and i were both over 9lbs when born, so i knew no baby of ours would be small lol x

Did you get an estimate of how big your baby was? I bought a bumper box of 192 nappies for 9-22lbs, then one packet of 54 newborn which i took to hospital with me i used 1/2  pack there but because he was 9lbs when he was born, i gave  the rest to the mum in the bed across from me as she had a smaller baby and i knew the nappies i had at home would fit x

My son was born at 34w2d and he was in preemies diapers for the longest. He weighed 5pound 1.1 ounce when I had him but he stayed in small diaper sizes for the longest

My son went straight into size one, but my daughter used preemies for a couple weeks (she had/has no butt and newborns slid off lol) if you're stocking up size ones would be a safe bet :)

I never buy newborn.  the different between newborn and size 1 is that one is longer in the front so I just fold it down like they would do if you had a premie to big for newborns.  this was I know I will always use them up.  its not even half a inch different and it won't leak anyways

Yea. They gave me pampers swaddlers and I ended up really liking them because of the color indicator so I exchanged the ones I had bought before delivery. (: and yea, if your gonna be almost 2 weeks late, you'll probably only need the one pack. I was 38 and 5 days when I delivered. I'm sure if I went over I wouldn't have needed more.

I'm gonna be about 2 weeks over due by the time she's born so I have no idea how much shell weigh. I guess I'll just wait and see. The hospital gave you diapers? I didn't know they did that. That's awesome

Yeaa my sons 9 days old and I went thru the pack from the hospital that had 20, and two packs of 36. And I'm gonna need more.

Everyone told me not to buy a lot of newborn but I've used 92 so far. Just keep the receipt and you can exchange any unused packs. Ohh and my son was 7lbs 14 oz. so he wasn't tiny or anything.

It depends on the size of your baby. Some babies are big and don't even use newborn. But I would think that was enough, you might need to buy like a 24 pack after using that. Babies poop like crazy when they're a couple days old.
