Well im think im getting the epi because i want to be able to enjoy labor. and with getting induced they say your contractions are stronger than when your baby actually comes on its own!

I've had an epi & a spinal block. I liked the spinal better cause its just a simple shot & no catheter has to stay in your back. But, the epi honestly wasn't that bad, its a pinch & then you feel the meds runs down and that's it. I'm having another spinal for this c section also.

I don't discriminate if a woman wants one go ahead every woman has the right to labor how she wants. But me personally I've pushed two babies out of this berjayjay with no pain meds, gas, or epi. And I'll keep it that way lol. I used to be addicted to narcotics when I was a teenager so I don't want "that feeling" ever again

I loved the dr that did my epidural   every step she told she told me about right before... The epidural was no more painful than a bee sting and i absolutely loved it    my contractions weres hard they had me in tears so the epidural was amazing for me....

I'm not scared of it I just plan on going all natural. I've heard so many stories of people having back issues weeks after they had it. No thank you :)

Lol. I watched my sister get one and the anesthesiologist told her okay this gonna Hurt focus on your next contraction....she was like focus ON my contraction?! Lol after that I decided I made the right choice in opting for natural lol  I have 15+tattoos and piercings all over but that needle? Hell to the naw lol

I won't get one. my sister has had four of them and her back is so messed up cuz of them its ridiculous. I know they can be good to get. but some doctors just don't know what they're doing and can really mess things up. I'd rather deal with the pain of labor for one day or so rather than back trouble the rest of my life.

It's actually not that bad to have the epi, I didn't feel it in the slightest.   I didn;t want one but cause of complications I didn't have a choice.   They gave me it straight after a contraction and I didn't feel the needle or the catheter going in, and cause I ended up with an emergency C-Section, I can't even remember them taking it out :) x

No, the catheter stays in your back. That's what I'm saying. That freaks me out

The epidural isn't really that bad. You don't see anything and at the time you don't care bc the pain of the contractions is way more intense then the thought of a needle in your back... And besides the needle doesn't stay in your back.

I've never had one. They freak me out. I'd rather push a baby rhinoceros out of my vagina than have a needle insert a catheter into my spine
