Ovulation and stuff

This ttc stuff is stressful. :-(  So, I'm wondering for you out there, how do you really know you're ovulating?  I've heard so many mixed messages.  I went and bought OPK's and have been testing from cd 11 to cd 19, and still no LH surge.  I have regular periods, and according to some docs, that guarantees I'm ovulating, and some docs say it doesn't.  And some people say OPK's don't always pick up ovulation, and some say they do.  I've only been ttc for a little while now, so I know a DR wouldn't even see me at this point.  I just don't want to put in this effort if I'm not ovulating in the first place.  I get the cm, I haven't checked basal temp yet.  But are there other signs that one is or is not ovulating, because like I said, I still haven't gotten the LH surge, and I'm on my 2nd OPK kit. :-(  Any insight would be appreciated.  There is just so much conflicting info out there.

Lol,i know the feeling trying to hold out for a wee.your taking it the right time,i think you just having one of those months sadley im having one of those,im normally due 29-32 days.do you keep an eye out for cm,i always say when cant detect ov keep at it every other day till af comes,you cant go wrong.best of luck.just for the record if you are stressed,etc it can delay ov same as wanting it so much,try to relax.keep us posted..

My cycle last month lasted 31 days, so I was guessing I would ovulate around day 17 or so.  I'm using clearblue easy, but not the digital ones.  I've been testing everyday around 4pm, and I tried to not urinate at least 4 hours before hand. (tried being the key word as that is so hard for me to hold it that long!)  I'll keep using the opk kits until I run out, just in case I'm a really late ovulater.  And when/if I get my period, I think I'll do my temp also.

Hi there you may be having an off month i for one normally ov on cd15 this month it was cd20,at what point through the day do you use ovk.you should use them after 2pm,make sure you dont wee for at least 3-4 hours before,check out peeonstick.com has some good info on ov,also what ovk are you using i personally use the clearblue with smiley face when you ov.how long is your cycle.regulare cycles generally does mean your are ovulating,do you experience any ovulation pain normally,this isnt nessasary,as not all women do,but some women notice certain things about there body at ovulation time,i would definately start charting,it wont tell you you are about to ovulate,but after few months charting you will know when you are ovulateing from your chart history.
