Make u gain weight if u take it right after birth? Because am on one and breastfeeding and am gaining weight everyday. Dont like my body anymore .am getting too fat

Every women is different and it changes alot, but I wouldn't suggest the depo shot to anyone. First off, it could cause cancer if you use it long term, it also causes your bones to weaken. I took just one shot about 2 years ago, and in those 3 months I gained about 40 pounds and it was the worst. I suggest you take the pills, they're the lowest risk for birth control

Before having a baby I used to take it n I used to lose weight alot but now I hav my baby am taking it..it make me gain alot of weight

I also didn't get any pain while on it and the only thing I enjoyed most was not getting my period at all.

I had the depo shot I didn't gain any weight instead I lost weight and I was taking it for about a year.

Yyyyeeesssss before I got pregnant I was on the depo only one time I never got it again after my three months came up I was so little then I got it and literally blew up they say it dosnt if you control what you eat but thats not true cuz I always ate right

If you're breast feeding then no, weightloss supplements are not oh k to take. Even herbal ones. Because they can pass to your baby during feedings. Depo shot is bad for when it comes to weight gain, is there another form of birth control you can get?

I do not even feel like having sex nomore. Depo got too much side effect. .I feel so bad.

Yea depo shot giving me so much side effect. Like weight gain.pelvic pain.I feel terrible sharp pain in my anus when am on my period. Is am about to pass out.its also happen after havin sex my I feel cramps in mu back and lower abdomin even my stomach be cramping .after sex

I've always been told out of all birth controls depo shot is the worst for causing weight gain

I'm not sure about medicine that can help ypu lose weight , ask your doctor about water pills . The going to the restroom constantly will help you lose the bad weight .

The depo shot causes weight gain , that's why i would never consider , because my Bestfriend she took it after birth and she gained weight.

Birth control effects all women differently.  It just really depends on how your body would react.

I kept my baby weight on until I was done breastfeeding.  Only later did I realize that I was sitting a LOT more than usual.

What kind of birth control are you on? If your breastfeeding you're probably on the mini pill or low progesterone pill so I wouldn't have thought so.
