downs syndrome

Hi everyone Im 16 wks an just found out my baby has downs syndrome is anyone else in the same situation? I wud really apprieciate it if anyone wud share there experiences wiv me as my mind is all over the place. Thanks x

Hi thankyou 4 the replies I had a cvs done and the results came bk positive 4 ds it was a bit of a shock as I'm only 27 I just wish I knew wat 2 expect so I Cud b ready 2 help my baby as soon as she gets here but it seems the issues wiv ds vary a lot from person 2 person so will hav 2 wait and c. Did you get amino results that confirms the downs or did you just have a possible positive measurement?

I know a lot of ppl with d's, I'm so sorry to hear this??? Are they for sure bc some of these scans they do can b wrong!!! It just depends on how serious it is, I know someone with it that us wheel chair bound can't walk or anything then I know someone u can barely tell he walk drivers works runs does just about anything n hasn't has surgery or anything ....everyone is different that has it. Keep In mind not all these scans r right, in not trying to get ur hopes up I'm just saying I know a lot of ppl that have all these scans to see if their baby has this or that n their told yes then they have the baby n the baby is normal. I dont have a baby with ds but my friend does and he is an adorable baby. She tried having him normal but babies hear drop so it was better a c-section. The baby has had around 3 surgerys on the heart he is turning 3. He was always at the hospital when he smaller but right now he is doing good he still doesnt walk but he stands up by himself which we are very proud. Just stay strong with everything, they are special babies
