Hi, I am a nutrition 3rd year major and I thought I could help here. From my knowledge there aren't enough scientific studies on how much alcohol is safe for you to have during pregnancy. Therefore we advise pregnant women to stay away from alcohol all together, as any little bit could be enough to cause fetal alcohol syndrome, a type of mental and physical disability that occurs when a mother drinks during pregnancy. Please don't take the risk, trust me the possible implications of fetal alcohol syndrome are far more detrimental than skipping out on alcohol.
People say a glass of wine here and there is fine, like she said ^^^ but, I'm in the same boat, I wouldn't chance it. You could be in the 1% of people that it causes damage to the baby! You just never know. Better safe than sorry
Hell no. Don't drink ANY alcohol.
What type of drinks your talking about ?
Alcohol?
I believe most doctors say a glass of red wine once in a while is ok but nothing else. I don't even risk the wine though. If there is a problem with my baby, I want to know that it wasn't anything I did to cause it.
