I wouldn't dye my hair with regular dye.. Well any dye really.. But I think those Demi dyes should be okay to use.. I had dyed my hair blonde and i used a semipermanent dye once just to see if I liked brown better again and it never went back lol I'd try that rather than conventional dye

It's fine after the first trimester but there could be an issue with your hair holding the color differently than it normally would. Because of the hormones, it may not hold the due as well so it will come out lighter than usual but it's safe to do. And I know what you mean about roots. Mine are at my chin and people have been telling me that they like it because they thought I was trying to do that two-color fade thing. It's annoying when it's this bad, but I'm already 39 weeks so I'm just going to wait until after I deliver so I don't have to redo it if the dye doesn't hold well.

I got told by my hair dresser and doctor that it is perfectly safe to color/dye your hair. They prefer you to do it ever 2 months or so, and not do it to close due to the fumes. So yes its fine, you just need to wait longer inbetween colorings so it doesn't harm baby and you.

Ive dyed my hair what like 4 times. Im 8 1/2 months my baby is healthy. Nothing happened. Just get ammonia free dye and do it in a ventilated area.
